Launching of Huwag Kang Magnakaw Advocacy
St. Joseph’s College of Quezon City officially launched the “Huwag Kang Magnakaw” Advocacy during the Eucharistic Celebration on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4, 2019.
Sr. Esperanza Vistro, SFIC, the School President, said that the campaign is aimed at promoting and inculcating honesty, integrity, and generosity to the students. She quoted Fr. Atilano “Nonong” Fajardo, CM, who initiated this advocacy that, “it is also a way for our school to fully participate in responding to the social issues our country is facing nowadays.” It is also hoped to raise social awareness among our students studying in St. Joseph’s College to prepare them for involvement towards genuine social change.
At the launching, some members of the Administrative Council, faculty and staff wore T-shirts with “Huwag Kang Magnakaw” inscription in front, as part of advancing the advocacy.
Walk for Creation
The Season of Creation started with a Walk for Creation attended by thousands of people from different schools, parishes, religious communities, and environmental groups last September 1, 2019 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
This was participated by students, teachers, friends and sisters from St. Joseph’s College.
Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle led the opening of the month-long celebration of the Season of Creation by inviting the faithful to renew our commitment as keepers of creation. During his homily, he urged the faithful to see September as a season to raise awareness about environment protection, until October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron of the environment.
Bishops Pablo Virgilio David and Honesto Ongtioco also attended the event with other priests from the different parishes.

K-Pop Cover Dance Contest Senior High School Edition: “One Wave”
The SJC community witnessed three talented bands during the Aming Tribo Concert 2019. Students, alumni, teachers, parents and visitors danced to and sang with the music of Tea4Two, MEGAN and Ben & Ben.

St Joseph Feast Day Celebration
Holy Mass for the Celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph and the St. Joseph exhibit which is open for viewing from March 18-23, 2019 at 8:00-4:00 p.m. in the AVR. Gawad San Jose was also celebrated to recognize the employees’ dedication to the institution.
