Acting for TV & Film

The much awarded, highly respected actress and director GINA ALAJARconducts an acting workshop that helps participants build confidence, develop the right attitude and hone their acting skills to prepare them to tackle any role for television or film. 

Commercial & Ramp Modeling

Distinguished commercial and fashion model CRISTINA SUZETTE DEL ROSARIO handles an 8-session workshop for both male and female interested in acquiring the techniques in modeling for television commercials and the catwalk. This unique, experiential module includes the proper use of make-up for photo shoots. 


Multi award-winning screenwriter ROY IGLESIAS guides the participants from concepts through first draft screenplay in 8 sessions, imparting his insights, knowledge, and techniques in crafting highly acclaimed, feature film scripts, drawing from his vast experience as a screenwriter, documentarist and media writing professor. 

Production Design for Events

The highly praised and much sought-after production designer ROLLIE DE LEON guides the participants every step of the way from conceptualization to execution, imparting priceless knowledge in coming up with fantastic production designs using affordable materials. 

Writing the Novel

Celebrated, best-selling novelist GILDA OLVIDADO brings out the novelist in you in an 8-part workshop designed to make you learn the techniques in plotting and character development, and help you discover your unique writing style that could make every page of your novel come alive. 

Digital Film Directing

Internationally recognized digital film director and writer RALSTON JOVER shares his knowledge in producing, writing and directing the digital film. He introduces the participants to the demanding but exciting world of digital film production, guiding them by the hand in exercising creativity and resourcefulness in producing films outside the mainstream.

Language Proficiency Center

The Language Proficiency Center aims to enhance the communication skills of students and teachers of St. Joseph’s College in four fundamental areas: listening, speaking (including conversational English), reading and comprehension, and writing proficiency. Speech Power and Public Speaking, Business English, and TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS Review are also available, for graduating students preparing for the professional world of work, as well as for non-SJC students who would like to avail of the services of the Center. English Language Teaching may also be availed of, by teachers who wish to update, and by students majoring in English. The Center is managed by a team composed of Doctors and Masters in Linguistics and Language Teaching.
