SJCQC Gives Recognition to Employees in “ Gawad SanJose 2017 ”

As part of the celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph every March 17, the SJCQC management organizes the Gawad San Jose Service award in recognition of the invaluable service and dedication of SJCQC employees. This annual event is spearheaded by the College Department in cooperation with the Finance Office, the Physical Plant and Audio-Visual Center. Held last March 27 at the college gym, this year’s Eucharistic Celebration and Awarding Ceremony centered on the theme “Gunita ng mga Magagandang Alaala: Pagbabalik-tanaw at Pasasalamat para sa mga Manggagawa ng SJCQC”.

The opening number: “SJCQC RADIO – Golden Hitback” was performed by the Hitback Divas with School Registrar Ms. Erlinda Dalacat as lead performer. It was followed by the opening remarks of the School President, Sr. Teresita Babaran, SFIC, who thanked everyone for their service, dedication and contribution to the school amidst the challenges encountered over the years.

The first set of Service Awards was given to employees who had 10, 15 and 25 years of service. This included: Ms. Yvonne Catacutan (CAS), Sr. Dionisia Mendoza SFIC, (Physical Plant), Ms. Maria Florabel Distor (BED), Mr. Erwin Espinosa (BED), Mr. Rowell Lobos (AMO), Ms. Rowena Mucho (Auxiliary Service), Sr. Natividad Parin, SFIC (CAS), Sr. Virginia Quidit, SFIC (CAS), Ms. Gilda Sana (Auxiliary Services), Ms. Mary Jean Gilbuela (IN), Sr. Ofelia Tabing, SFIC (CCF-SA), Mr. Julius Vernie Vier (CAS), Mr. Jonathan Boada (Physical plant), Mr. Clifford Esteban (BED), Ms. Nida Gojol (Graduate School), Ms. Evelyn Guinir (IMC), Mr. Tiburcio Jamero Jr. (Physical Plant), Ms. Veronica Nacion (Auxiliary Service), Mr. Ronnie Salvador (Physical Plant) and Ms. Glenda Tubid (BED).

Selected SFIC sisters then sang “Prayer for Peace” by Sr. Gervacia, SFIC, and then rendered a very entertaining musical number to the tune of “I Will Follow Him”. It was then followed by the second set of Service Awards for employees who had 30, 35 and 40 years of service. They were: Mr. Edmund Aspiras (Physical Plant), Mr. Roy Iglesias (CAS), Ms. Mildred Lazo (CAS), Ms. Rosanna Vibar (BED), Ms. Angelita Perez (Finance), Ms. Marle Tubaga (HRMO), Sr. Celine Cruz, SFIC (Auxiliary Services) and Ms. Beverly Arban (BED). Sr. Julie Saguibo, SFIC, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, then gave an inspirational message. After which, the third set of Service Awardees were recognized. They were Ms. Magdalena Abadilla (CAS), Ms. Amelia Guanga (IMC), Ms. Fabiana Macalalad (IMC), and Ms. Marle L. Tubaga (HRMO). The celebration was wrapped up by the thanksgiving message of Dr. Marle L. Tubaga followed by the singing of the community song, “Together in Electric Dreams”. College faculty members Mr. Angelo Arriola, Ms. Vida Suarez and Mr. Rowell Lobos hosted the event.
